Wizards Host Real Salt Lake, Showcase Kansas City's Best Saturday
Saturday, July 14, the Wizards host Real Salt Lake at 7 p.m. CT at Arrowhead Stadium. The Wizards will showcase some of Kansas City's Best, as local jazz band Max Groove will play during tailgate and local artists will display their art in soccer celebration.


At halftime, some of Kansas City's most well-known media personalities will compete against one another in a full-field 15-v-15 soccer match. Each team will also have a celebrity coach. Come watch as those who report on the Wizards try to impersonate the Wizards.


Draft to be Held Tuesday for Saturday's Media Game
The Kansas City Wizards will hold the 2nd Annual All-Star Media Game on Saturday, July 14, during halftime of the Wizards vs. Real Salt Lake match.


On Tuesday, July 10, the Wizards will hold the Kansas City Wizards All-Star Media Draft from 12:30 - 2 p.m. at The Granfalloon on the Plaza. At this time, the Wizards will "mock" draft media members to the Wizards White or Wizards Blue team. Voice of the Wizards Sean Wheelock will serve as the emcee of the event and announce each person as they are selected.


Like a real draft, each media member will walk up to the podium to receive their Wizards jersey, pose for a picture with Wizards defender Nick Garcia and have their name written on the main draft board. All drafted media members will then don their uniforms for the 10-minute game during halftime at Arrowhead on Saturday.


2007 Miss Soccer Kansas City Contest Winners Appear on NBC Action News Show Kansas City Live
The winners of the 2007 Miss Soccer Kansas City contest made their first appearance as representatives of the Kansas City Wizards organization Monday on Kansas City Live with Brett Anthony and Meredith Hoenes.


All five of the Miss Soccer Kansas City winners were in attendence and showed off their soccer skills and knowledge. The girls juggled, shot on goal and talked about their favorite Kansas City Wizards players. Anthony then got in goal and took a wicked shot in the stomach from 13-year-old Holly Reynolds.


After the segments, Anthony gave the girls a back-stage look at a major television studio including the news and weather sets. Co-host Meredith Hoenes will be playing in the media game this Saturday during halftime of the game against Real Salt Lake at 7 p.m. CT at Arrowhead Stadium.

Kansas City Wizards Wives Club to Hold Teddy Bear Drive July 22 at Arrowhead Stadium
Prior to the Kansas City Wizards home match Sunday, July 22, against the Colorado Rapids, Wizards players wives will collect teddy bears from fans to be donated to Children's Mercy Hospital. Beginning at 5:30 p.m. outside the Arrowhead Stadium gates, wives donning pink versions of their husband's Kansas City Wizards jerseys will collect NEW stuffed animals in exchange for player cards autographed by their husbands.


Wives will remain outside the stadium until 7:30 p.m. Following collection, Wizards players and wives will present the animals to patients of Children's Mercy.


KCW Kids Club to View Practice Thursday

What: The KCW Kid's Club will take a special trip to watch their Kansas City Wizards at work, on the soccer field. The kids will receive team posters to be autographed by their favorite players during a special autograph session after training and get a tour of the new training facility.


Kansas City Wizards to Hold Event at BarryWoods 24 Theater in Northland

What: Members of the Kansas City Wizards will be at BarryWoods 24 theater in the Northland to meet and greet fans. Players will be available for autographs 5-8 p.m. A drawing for an autographed soccer ball will be held for fans who come by the Wizards table.


Player to Attend Cabela's Annual Kids Fishing Derby

What: The Kansas City Wizards will have players available at Cabela's annual Kid's Fishing Derby. The event will also include face painting, fish painting, paintballing, kite flying, a tattoo tent and the main event: the fishing derby.


Forward Willy Guadarrama to Sign Autographs Prior to Saturday's Match
