Sealy Called to T&T National Team
Kansas City Wizards forward and 2006 leading goal-scorer Scott Sealy has been called by coach Wim Rjisbergen to Trinidad & Tobago's National Team for two upcoming international friendlies.

Sealy, who scored a team-high 10 goals for Kansas City in 2006, represented the Soca Warriors in this months Digicel Caribbean Cup, where they finished runner up to Haiti.

Sealy started both the opening match of the tournament, a 1-1 draw against Barbados and the quarterfinal 3-1 victory over Haiti.

Helping the squad qualify for the upcoming CONCACAF Gold Cup earned him an invitation back for upcoming friendly matches. The first match-up comes tonight away to Panama with a February 4 game away against Costa Rica.

Former Kansas City forward Gary Glasgow also competed for Trinidad.

Garcia Goes 'All In' for Charity
Defender Nick Garcia participated in a local celebrity poker tournament Monday night at Harrah's North Kansas City Casino with 12 other big-name Kansas Citians. Garcia played well, finished sixth and earned $250 for the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society.

"It was a great night," Garcia said. "The people of Harrah's and Gillette put on a great tournament benefiting the people of Kansas City."

Garcia parlayed the Texas Hold 'Em success into some new friendships. He was asked by eventual tournament champion Meredith Hoenes to appear on her NBC 41 show Kansas City Live.

Nevertheless, Garcia felt he should have finished better.

"Kevin Keitzman knocked me out," Garcia said. "I had a pair of 8's. He only had trash. He picked up his pair on the river to beat me."

After the event, Garcia sized up the competition.

"Dennis McCoy, a BMX rider from Lee's Summit, was the best player," he said. "He was pretty savvy."

Garcia's opinion of Hoenes, the champion?

"She was the luckiest player in the tournament."

Mascot Dynamo to have busy Saturday in Community
