L.A. GALAXY SET FOR INSTALLMENT OF THE 2006 HONDA SUPERCLASICO ON SATURDAY, APRIL 15: After sweeping the season series last year in the inaugural Honda SuperClasico against bitter cross-town rival Chivas USA, the Los Angeles Galaxy are set to bring the rivalry into its second year beginning on Saturday, April 15 at 8:00 p.m. at The Home Depot Center. The match will be broadcast live on ESPN 2 in what will be considered a road game for the Galaxy. L.A. defeated Chivas USA five times in 2005 in League and U.S. Open Cup action, the first season for the expansion club. The Galaxy out-scored Chivas USA 13-3 in the five matches, including a 1-0 final game played before 88,816 fans at the L.A. Memorial Coliseum.

VOTE FOR ALBRIGHT: Galaxy defender Chris Albright scored the club's first goal of 2006 in the 78th minute on April 8, giving the Galaxy a short-lived 1-0 lead. Albright's goal is one of five goals nominated for the Sierra Mist Goal of the Week. Fans can vote now for Albright at lagalaxy.com.

DONOVAN, ALBRIGHT TO SUIT UP FOR U.S. AGAINST JAMAICA: L.A. Galaxy forward Landon Donovan and defender Chris Albright will be with the United States National Team on Tuesday in Cary, NC as the U.S. takes on Jamaica in the final game before head coach Bruce Arena names his 23-man preliminary World Cup roster. Donovan, Albright and the U.S. kick-off against Jamaica at 4 p.m. (PT) live on ESPN2.

GALAXY RESERVES KICK OFF 2006 CAMPAIGN: The L.A. Galaxy reserves kicked off the 2006 reserve league season on Sunday, April 9 at The Home Depot Center on the Campus of California State University, Dominguez Hills. Chicago forward Floyd Franks scored the lone goal of the match in the 65th minute to earn the Fire their first victory of the Reserve Division season and hand the Galaxy reserves their first loss.

BUSY GALAXY MAKING CHANGES: Last week, the Galaxy made several changes to its roster, signing Brazilian forward Thiago Da Souza on Thursday, April 6. The 21-year-old Da Souza, who was most recently with the German Bundesliga's BV Borussia Dortmund, will join the club as a youth international, pending visa approval as soon as possible. The following day, the Galaxy added speedy Trinidad & Tobago national team forward Cornell Glen in a trade with the Colorado Rapids. L.A. exchanged a conditional third round 2007 draft pick for Glen, who wasted no time in making his Galaxy debut, entering in the 76th minute as a substitute on April 8 against the Fire. Glen is a 24-year-old who has scored 10 goals in 42 MLS games. To make room on the roster, the Galaxy waived forward Naldo da Conceicao.

DUNIVANT RETURNS TO LINEUP: Galaxy defender Todd Dunivant made his 2006 debut on Saturday, April 8 against the Fire. Dunivant played every minute of every MLS game for L.A. in 2005, but missed the 2006 season opener with a strained left calf injury. Against the Fire, Dunivant started and played 90 minutes at his customary left back position.

ANOTHER FIRST FOR GARDNER: Galaxy midfielder Josh Gardner earned the first point of his MLS career on April 8 against Chicago, swinging in a perfect corner kick in the 78th minute that Chris Albright was able to head past Chicago goalkeeper Zach Thornton. It was Gardner's first assist in just his second MLS start.
