Weekly update: Rivalry rematch

RSL Makes Dick's Sporting Goods Park Debut Against Rapids Thursday on ESPN2

For the second time in ten days, Real Salt Lake (0-2-3, 3 pts.) and the Colorado Rapids (2-2-1, 7 pts.) will square off in the Rocky Mountain Cup series, as RSL will travel east this Thursday, May 10 to make its debut at Dick's Sporting Goods Park in Commerce City, Colo. for a 7:00 p.m. MT kick-off. The rivalry will be on full display across the country, as the Thursday night tilt will mark the first of Real Salt Lake's two appearances in 2007 on "ESPN2's Primetime Thursday" national broadcast. RSL fans can also follow the action live on the team's official radio partners: KALL-AM 700 "The Zone" (English) and KXTA-AM 1600 "La Bonita" (Spanish).

Real Salt Lake will be seeking to avenge a 2-0 defeat at the hands of the Rapids on April 30, which set RSL's record in the Rocky Mountain cup series against Colorado back to 2-6-1, including a 1-3-0 mark on the other side of the Rockies. Real Salt Lake's lone win in Denver came last season via a 4-1 triumph upon RSL's final visit to INVESCO Field at Mile High on Aug. 9, a contest in which FW Jeff Cunningham notched two goals and an assist against his former side to pace RSL to the victory. The Rocky Mountain Cup rivals will see each other one more time this month, as RSL will again travel to Commerce City on May 23 to take on the Rapids in a Lamar Hunt U.S. Open Cup play-in contest for the right to be one of Major League Soccer's eight representatives in U.S. Soccer's national championship tournament.
