Kansas City Faces Colorado Rapids Saturday
Fresh off a season-opening 2-0 victory over rival D.C. United last Saturday, the Wizards will play Colorado Rapids this Saturday, April 5 at 7 p.m. CT at CommunityAmerica Ballpark. Game 1 featured a sell-out crowd, and many fans were turned away at the gates looking for walk-up tickets. Tickets are selling fast for this Saturday's match. All fans are encouraged to purchase seats in advance to ensure a place at the match.
Both the Wizards and Rapids enter on a high note after Colorado defeated Los Angeles Galaxy 4-0 in their opening match. Each team enters with a 1-0-0 record and the maximum three points through MLS play. The Wizards received goals from newly acquired forwards Claudio Lopez and Ivan Trujillo. Newly acquired midfielder Christian Gomez scored for the Rapids against LA.

Lopez Chip Nominated for Sierra Mist Goal of the Week
Wizards Designated Player Claudio Lopez is up for an award following his stellar debut last Saturday. His goal in the 61st minute, a calm chip over goalkeeper Zach Wells after Ryan Pore put him through behind the defense, is nominated for Sierra Mist Goal of the Week honors. The Jimmy Conrad Show Airs Live Wednesday From McFadden's Sports Saloon on 810 WHB
Defender and captain Jimmy Conrad and voice of the Wizards Sean Wheelock are unavailable this week, but The Jimmy Conrad Show will go on live from McFadden's on Wednesday. Davy Arnaud and Dave Borchardt will fill in and broadcast the show live on 810 WHB from 8-9 p.m. CT. Former Wizards defender Jose Luis Burciaga Jr. is this week's guest from the opposing team.
Fans are encouraged to attend the show at McFadden's in the heart of the Power & Light District across from Sprint Center. The show will also be streamed live at kcwizards.com and MLSnet.com.

First Weekly Press Conference of 2008 Held Thursday
For the duration of the 2008 season, the Kansas City Wizards will hold weekly press conferences each Thursday at the pavilion adjacent to the team's Swope Park Training Center. Head Coach Curt Onalfo and players will be available beginning at 1 p.m. Planet Sub sandwiches and cookies will be provided to all media members who attend.
Each Kansas City Wizards practice will still be open to media. Outlets are encouraged to take advantage of the Wizards media policy.
Wizards Weekly to Include Coach Onalfo, Jimmy Conrad
Wizards Weekly, Kansas City's weekly magazine show covering the Wizards, debuted last week on Metro Sports. This week, the show features Head Coach Curt Onalfo and Jimmy Conrad. Metro Sports will air Wizards Weekly three times per week.

First Wizards Soccer-Volleyball Fundraiser Wednesday at St. Gabriel's in KCMO
The first Kansas City Wizards soccer-volleyball fundraiser will take place Wednesday, April 2 at St. Gabriel's gym in Kansas City, Missouri. Wizards players Davy Arnaud, Jack Jewsbury, Kurt Morsink, Ryan McMahen and Matt Marquess will play against St. Gabriel's factulty and students in a volleyball match. Those from St. Gabriel's will use their hands, while Wizards players can play using only legal soccer touches.
As part of the fundraiser, a group from St. Gabriel's attended Kansas City's home opener last Saturday and saw the Wizards defeat D.C. United 2-0. Wizards, Star102 Offer Barry Manilow Prize Pack
The Kansas City Wizards and Star102 have joined forces to offer a Barry Manilow prize pack for moms. Kansas City kids are encouraged to call in to the Star102 morning show with Nycki and Dave and explain why they love the Wizards and why their mom's love Barry Manilow.
Four children will be chosen as finalists and receive two (2) tickets to the Kansas City Wizards home match on April 12 versus Houston Dynamo. From the group of finalists, one grand-prize winner will be chosen to additionally receive:
• Two (2) tickets to "Manilow: An Evening of Music and Passion" on April 26 at Sprint Center
