Wizards to Open Versus D.C. United on March 29, 2008 at CommunityAmerica Ballpark in KCK
The Kansas City Wizards will open 2008 regular-season play at temporary home CommunityAmerica Ballpark Saturday, March 29, at 7 p.m. CT against Eastern-Conference rivals D.C. United. Kansas City played United in their first match of 2007, defeating the eventual Supporters' Shield winners 4-2 at RFK Stadium. Kansas City went 1-1-1 against United in 2007.

Seven KCW Juniors U-17 Players Named to Kansas City Star's All-Metro Soccer Teams
The Kansas City Wizards would like to congratulate the following KCW Juniors U-17 players for their outstanding performances in high school play this fall. Seven members of the KCW Juniors U-17 squad were named to one of The Kansas City Star's all-metro lists, with three KCW Juniors earning first team all-metro honors.
Due to age restrictions, seniors in the class of 2008 were unable to try out for the KCW Juniors program last fall. Only 11 players from the junior class of 2009 were selected to one of the Star's teams, with seven of those players participating in the KCW Juniors program.

All proceeds go to the JLB Foundation, which works to assist Hispanic youth and underprivileged students by promoting involvement in sports, education, community service, and cultural awareness.
