Fire Reserves Takes Show to Foxborough
The Chicago Fire Reserves (0-1-1 1 pt.) will see action again on Sunday, May 6, taking on the New England Revolution Reserves (1-0-0 3 pts.) at 6:30 p.m. CT in the second of a two-game doubleheader at Gillette Stadium. The Chicago Fire Reserves had to settle for a 1-1 tie in its previous Reserve Division match-up on April 22 against the Kansas City Wizards Reserves at TOYOTA PARK. Youth International defender Osei Telesford provided the Fire's lone goal after finishing off a back-heel assist from forward Calen Carr. A handball in the box was called against the "Men in Red" in the second half, giving Wizards forward Ryan Pore the game-tying penalty kick goal.

UIC Exhibition Earns Over $6,000 for Chicago SCORES
The Chicago Fire earned a 4-0 exhibition win over the University of Illinois-Chicago through light steady rain at Flames Field in downtown Chicago, Ill. Fire forward Chad Barrett opened scoring in the 30th minute, followed by a brace from midfielder Floyd Franks in the 56th and 60th minutes. A UIC own goal in the 75th minute would be the game's final tally. The exhibition match raised over six thousand dollars for the Chicago SCORES, a non-profit after school program serving the North Lawndale and Little Village communities.

Blanco Watch
Cuauhtémoc Blanco, the Chicago Fire's Designated Player signing, is currently enjoying a two-game point-scoring streak with Mexican First Division side Club América as it winds down its 2007 Clausura campaign. This past Sunday Blanco scored the game-tying goal in the 34th minute in a 2-1 América win over Monarcas Morelia, a Chicago Fire partner club. In Week 16 "Temo" started and played the full 90 minutes for América, registering an assist (Ricardo Rojas, 12') for the game's only goal in a 1-0 win over Atlante. Blanco will become an official member of the "Men in Red" on July 1 and will be eligible to play that day in Chicago's match-up with the Rapids at TOYOTA PARK (6:00 p.m. CT, Comcast SportsNet).
