The Chicago Fire (5-8-5, 20 pts.) continue their quest to climb the Eastern Conference standings when they face Real Salt Lake (2-9-6, 12 pts.) this Saturday night (8:00 p.m. CT, Comcast SportsNet) at Rice-Eccles Stadium in Salt Lake City, Utah. The Fire are coming off a bye in Week 19, their last result a 0-0 draw against the Columbus Crew on Aug. 4 at TOYOTA PARK. RSL are coming off a bye week as well, their last result an impressive 1-0 win over the Houston Dynamo on Aug. 4 for the team's second win of the 2007 campaign. This Saturday's Chicago Fire - Real Salt Lake contest will be broadcast live from Rice-Eccles Stadium locally on Comcast SportsNet and over the airwaves on Chicagoland radio station WRTO-AM 1200 (Spanish).

Coach Osorio Fan Forum on Thursday
Fans can get closer to "The Professor" himself, Fire head coach Juan Carlos Osorio, when Chicago Fire Soccer hosts its Fan Forum this Thursday, Aug. 16, at 6:30 p.m. CT in the TOYOTA PARK Stadium Club. From 7:00 - 8:00 p.m. CT, coach Osorio will provide some insight into his approach to coaching, discuss physical, mental, and tactical preparation, and take questions from the crowd. Free snacks and a cash bar will be provided throughout the evening. At 8:00 p.m. CT the ESPN2 MLS Primetime match featuring New England Revolution at the Colorado Rapids will be shown LIVE on the Stadium Club TV's, and an autographed item will be raffled off to benefit the FireWorks for Kids Foundation. "Chicago Fire Soccer Weekly" Radio Show - Dasan Robinson
"Chicago Fire Soccer Weekly", a half-hour weekly soccer talk show, will air its next broadcast via WXAV 88.3 FM from the campus of Saint Xavier University (SXU) this Tuesday, Aug. 14, at 6:00 p.m. CT, and each week throughout the rest of the Fire's 2007 MLS campaign. Hosts Kevin Kellam, Angelo Bonadonna, and Terry Bonadonna will talk with Fire second-year defender Dasan Robinson, as well as preview this Saturday's "Men in Red" match at Real Salt Lake. Fire Premier Represented on Super-20 All-League Team
On Tuesday, Aug. 7, the United Soccer Leagues (USL) Super-20 League announced the All-League teams following the Super-20 North American Finals, held Aug. 2 - 5 in Epping, New Hampshire, with three members of the Fire Super-20s making the list. Fire Super-20 defender Chris Schuler was awarded league top honors, as the Aurora, Ill. native and Creighton University product assisted on the game-winning goal against D.C. United and scored the Fire's lone goal in the Final. Fire Super-20 forward Braden Fleak was also named to the All-League team after the Wright State striker scored four goals and registered two assists overall through four matches, including an assist on Schuler's goal in the Final and a hat-trick in a 3-2 win over Diablo Valley Soccer Club of Northern California on the opening day of the league finals. Super-20 head coach, Larry Sunderland, was also named Super-20 League Coach of the Year for his successful efforts in molding the first-year side into a competitive squad.


2007 Frank Klopas Golf Outing Set for September 10
On Monday, Sept. 10, the FireWorks for Kids Foundation will hold its 6th annual golf outing at Silver Lakes Country Club, in Orland Park, Ill. Former Fire forward Frank Klopas, who also serves on the Board of Directors for the FireWorks for Kids Foundation, gives his name and support to this golf outing. Celebrities who have attended in the past have included: Billy Pierce, Gene Heiser, Willy Roy, Paul Popovich, Ronnie Bull, Mike Pyle, Bill Wennington, Bob Love, and Billy Leagans. The entire Chicago Fire team and coaching staff will be on hand for the day as well. Every foursome will golf with a celebrity in a scramble format. The day will include 18 holes of golf with a chance to win a car, lunch, a cocktail reception, and conclude with a buffet dinner and prizes.
