Weekly update: Double vision

Guillermo Barros Schelotto's two goals was all the Crew needed on Sunday.

The Crew returns to action at home on Wednesday, June 20, against the Kansas City on Bob Evans Buck-a-Brat Night at Crew Stadium. Columbus (1-4-6, 9 pts.) is coming off a thrilling, come-from-behind 3-3 tie at New England on Saturday (June 16), while Kansas City (6-2-2, 20 pts.) is also played to a 3-3 draw Saturday at New York.

Wednesday's match, which kicks off at 7:30 p.m., will be televised live locally on CSN, with Dwight Burgess and Dante Washington calling all the action, Katie Witham reporting from the sidelines and Dionne Miller hosting the 30-minute pregame show. The game can be heard live in English on The Brew @ 105.7 and on-line on TheCrew.com and MLSNet.com, with Neil Sika and John Bluem behind the microphone, as well as in Spanish on Radio Sol WXOL 1550-AM, with Marcelo Carrera, Eduardo "Eddie" Carvacho and Benny Pietrangelo on the call.

It will be the second Bob Evans Buck-a-Brat Night of the season, when juicy Bob Evans bratwursts are sold for just $1 throughout the game at Crew Stadium, and, in conjunction with the 2007 NHL Entry Draft, which is being held in Columbus this weekend, the top prospects in the draft will attend the game. They will sign autographs pregame on the Crew Kicker Plaza from 6:30-7:30 p.m. and Blue Jackets goaltender and Pascal Leclaire will toss the coin prior to the game. Blue Jackets mascot Stinger will also be on hand, along with the Blue Jackets' Breakaway Tour inflatables and border patrol rink for street hockey games.

The Crew and Wizards meet for the second of three times this season and for the only time at Crew Stadium. The teams met on May 5 in Kansas City, with the Wizards claiming a 1-0 victory on Jose Burciaga Jr.'s goal in second-half stoppage time.

In Saturday's game at New England, the Crew got a late equalizer from Alejandro Moreno to cap a two-goal comeback. Moreno, Guillermo Barros Schelotto and Robbie Rogers all had a goal and an assist in the game and Ned Grabavoy added a pair of assists. Will Hesmer made his first start of the season -- and first as a member of the Crew -- in goal.
