RSL Looks to Stretch Undefeated Streak to Five Games Saturday against Chivas USA
Real Salt Lake (5-13-9, 24 pts.) will look to expand its season-best four-game undefeated streak this Saturday, Oct. 6, when Utah's MLS side returns to Rice-Eccles Stadium for the last of three meetings this season with its '05 expansion brethren, Chivas USA (14-6-6, 48 pts.). Kick-off from Rice-Eccles Stadium on the University of Utah campus is set for 7:00 p.m. MT, with gates set to open at 6:00 p.m. for the Carnival Real pre-game fan festival. Fans that can't make it to the stadium can follow the action live on high-definition network HDNet or on RSL's official radio partners - KALL 700 Sports and "La Bonita" AM-1600.

Saturday's match will mark Chivas USA's lone visit to the Wasatch Front this season, this after the Southern California side swept the previous two meetings against Real Salt Lake at The Home Depot Center on April 21 (0-4 L) and August 26 (0-1 L). Despite trailing the overall series 2-5-3, Real Salt Lake has yet to drop a result to Chivas USA in the friendly confines of Rice-Eccles Stadium after compiling a pair of wins in 2005 and two draws in 2006.

RSL MF Javier Morales Undergoes Successful Shoulder Surgery
Real Salt Lake has announced that MF Javier Morales underwent successful surgery to repair a torn labrum in his left shoulder in a procedure performed last Thursday in Salt Lake City. The surgery and subsequent recovery period will keep Morales sidelined for up to four months, ruling him out of action for RSL's three remaining regular season contests during the 2007 campaign. The 27-year-old Morales was coming into his own a month into his RSL tenure, having scored his first-ever MLS goal on a 25-yard free kick goal late in RSL's 2-2 draw against the L.A. Galaxy on Sept. 19. Since seeing his first action in mid-August, Morales tallied a goal and two assists in just 369 minutes of action.
