Weekly udate: Going for lucky seven

Unbeaten in its last six games, Houston Dynamo looks to obtain its seventh victory of the season on Tuesday, July 4, against the Columbus Crew.

With the 1-1 tie against Chivas USA, Houston maintains its hold on the second spot in the Western Conference with 23 points, 4 points away from FC Dallas, which continues to lead the conference.

Houston and Columbus will meet for the first time in the history of both clubs on Tuesday, July 4th. Columbus comes into this game riding on a five-game losing streak, having last won on June 3 against FC Dallas. The Dynamo has not won since June 17, when it beat Real Salt Lake, 2-1.

WHAT'S NEXT?

In a rematch of last week's game, which ended with a 1-1 stalemate, the Dynamo will host Chivas USA at Robertson Stadium on Saturday, July 8th, at 4 p.m. CT. Both teams are in the race for this year's playoffs, and Chivas USA sits only 1 point behind the Dynamo for second place in the Western Conference standings.
