WASHINGTON, D.C. - Major League Soccer unveiled today its 2007 regular season schedule. In the League's 12th season, each of the 13 clubs will play 30 regular season games, for a total of 195 matches from April 7 to Oct. 21. D.C. United kicks off the season on April 7, live on ABC at 3:30 p.m. ET, when it visits the Colorado Rapids in their new stadium, Dick's Sporting Goods Park. The season will conclude on Sunday, Nov. 18 with MLS Cup 2007, live on ABC from RFK Stadium in Washington, D.C. at noon ET.

"We're pleased to be able to announce our 2007 MLS regular season schedule," said D.C. United President and CEO Kevin Payne. "This will be a busy year for our club, including the CONCACAF Champions' Cup, the SuperLiga Tournament, the U.S. Open Cup, and possibly the Copa Sudamericana. I'm sure many of our fans have been anxiously awaiting word of when we would play the LA Galaxy and David Beckham, and now they know that match will take place August 9th. It will be a very exciting season for D.C. United and our loyal supporters, and we can't wait to get going."

As previously announced, United will face the Kansas City Wizards in its home opener on Saturday, April 14 at RFK Stadium (7:30 p.m. ET). Of note, the team that ousted the Black-and-Red from the 2006 playoffs - the New England Revolution - will visit D.C. on Thursday, May 3 in a game that will be nationally televised on ESPN2 (7 p.m. ET). D.C. will take a short mid-season break from League play to participate in SuperLiga, which opens at RFK Stadium on July 25 versus Monarcas Morelia (8:00 p.m. ET). MLS Cup playoffs will begin the weekend of October 25-28 and conclude with MLS Cup at RFK Stadium on November 18.

19 of United's 30 regular season games will be nationally televised by various League broadcast partners, including games on ABC/ESPN, Univision, Fox Soccer Channel/Fox Sports en Español and HDNet. The team's regional TV schedule on broadcast partner Comcast SportsNet will be released in the coming weeks.

Full season, half season and flex ticket plans are now on sale through the D.C. United office at 202-587-5000. Season tickets and partial plans offer several plan-holder benefits such as a ticket exchange program, discounted youth pricing, priority to other soccer events and direct access to D.C. United's Customer Service Department. Individual tickets are currently available through TicketMaster for the March 1 CONCACAF Champions' Cup match vs. CD Olimpia, while individual tickets for the home opener and all regular season games, except the August 9 game versus Los Angeles, will go on public sale on Monday, March 5th. Currently, the only way to obtain tickets to United's August 9 game with the Galaxy is through United season ticket packages.

"As first-year owners of D.C. United, Victor MacFarlane and I are excited about the 2007 schedule," said United Co-managing Partner Will Chang. "This is a big year for our club. We're participating in several important competitions and have an aggressive business agenda set in motion. Throughout the year, we look forward to sharing many great successes with the greatest supporters in Major League Soccer."
