On the game:
"It's a frustrating loss. We knew it was an important game. We never gave ourselves a good chance. We got behind early and worked pretty hard to get back on the game and then we let them come back. Then breaking them down it was a difficult job. They had everybody back and that requires the right play at the right time and on the day we just were not sharp enough to make the final play."
On what went wrong:
"Our crosses were not good, a lot of our passes went straight to Perkins and that's tough when you are behind on the score. Also, we made mistakes we can not afford to have, allowing them to go ahead on a goal like that. The first goal was a hard one, because Gomez was able to hit the ball well and got to the near post."
CHIVAS USA MIDFIELDER JESSE MARSCH
On the loss:
"Whether they lose games or win games, they're still a good team. We were down a goal in three minutes. They scored and sat back and then when we finally even it up, they scored again and sat back the whole game. We had the ball a lot, pushed the game a little bit, but at the end we were not able to break them down."
CHIVAS USA MIDFIELDER JUAN PABLO GARCIA
On the loss:
"We've got to fight against everyone because things are getting tight in our conference. The three points that we let go tonight may be the ones that we will need at the end of the season. Tonight we showed our lack of experience; we looked very innocent on their second goal. They got away from us at midfield and that's something that we can't let happen."

On Christian Gomez's performance:
"He is a very important part of our team, that's for sure. He's had a very good season; that's also the reason he's considered for the league MVP. I think it is important to have a performance like that today. He is an important part of our team, and scored two beautiful goals. ... On the second goal he made a great run, the space was open and he took it all the way."
On what he learned from last week's loss to the Galaxy:
"I think in that game we gave a lot space to the Galaxy. I think today Chivas didn't create too many chances, or dangerous situations, we prevent all of them and we scored a couple of goals. I don't know about the PK, we'll have to see the tape again. We played very good defense and we scored two beautiful goals. An important win for us."

On the game:
"I think even though we have a good amount of points, it was an important game for us just get over that little hump we were sitting on, without a win in a few games. I think it was important for us to get this win and we worked really hard to get it."
On the team's preparations this past week:
"We had a pretty good strong training week, we went over some videos, we went back to basics, so to speak, corrected a few things and just played better overall defensively. I think our communication overall was a lot better."

On why he left the game in the 56th minute:
"I felt that I couldn't go on so I decided to come out ... Hopefully when I come back to D.C, we'll see what doctor says. Hopefully it's nothing to worry about."
On the win:
"It was very important after struggling for a couple of games. I think we went back to what we have been practicing and we put in the right work today."
