The Houston Dynamo U-18s started play in the prestigious Dallas Cup with a 4-2 victory over London's Lewisham College.
The younger set of Orange got two first-half goals from Tyler Miles and Josue Soto for a 2-0 lead. Soto's goal was off a penalty kick in the 43rd minute. Only 1:10 into the second half, Christian Cruz scored off a cross from Miles for the 3-0 lead, and Walberto Vasques scored on a header in the 58th minute for the Dynamo to go up 4-0.
Lewisham scored with 20 and 10 minutes left for the final 4-2 verdict.
The Dynamo now faces the Chicago Magic at 12:00pm in Frisco. Dynamo Midfielder Ricardo Clark is a former Magic player.
