Twellman added to U.S. roster for friendly

FOXBOROUGH, Mass. - U.S. Men's National Team head coach Bob Bradley has added New England Revolution forward Taylor Twellman to the roster that will face Switzerland on Wednesday, Oct. 17 in Basel, Switzerland.


A total of 23 players, including Twellman, will be available for selection for the USA's penultimate match of 2007, which kicks off at 8:30 p.m. local time (2:30 p.m. ET) at St. Jakob Park. The match will be broadcast live on Fox Soccer Channel and Galavision.


Twellman has made nine appearances for the U.S. this year, recording a goal and two assists. The 2007 Revolution Team MVP has scored 15 goals in 25 league matches for the Revs this year to rank him third in MLS.


He also tallied the second goal in the Revs 3-2 victory over FC Dallas to capture 2007 Lamar Hunt Open Cup Championship, his fourth of this year's tournament.


For his career, Twellman has 28 caps with the National Team, and has scored six goals.


Twellman is scheduled to return to Boston on Thursday and rejoin the Revs in time for their trip to Toronto FC for their final regular-season game of the year. New England and Toronto will kick off at 12:30 p.m. ET on Saturday, Oct. 20, in a match that will be televised on Comcast Sports Net (formerly Fox Sports New England) and broadcast on the radio on the WEEI Radio Network.
