TV and radio to air all 30 FCD regular season games

FRISCO, Texas - FC Dallas announced today that for the first time ever, all 30 regular season games will be available on television. Additionally, the team has announced that once again, all regular season games will air live on both Spanish (1540 AM) and English radio (92.1 FM). FSN Southwest kicks off the television coverage of the team by broadcasting the 2007 season opener on Sat., April 7 when FCD visits Real Salt Lake at Rice-Eccles Field in Salt Lake City, Utah (Live at 5 p.m. CT).


FSN Southwest and KFWD-52 join national television partners ESPN2, the Univision Network, Fox Soccer Channel and HDNet to air 26 of the 30 games live on cable and satellite channels - including every FC Dallas road game. The remaining four home games will live air on the MLS DirectKick package (see note below).


NOTES ON LOCAL BROADCAST PARTNERS:

  • Ray Canevari returns for his third season as the English radio voice of FC Dallas on first-year station 92.1 FM (KXEZ). Canevari will be joined in the booth by second-year color-commentator Shawn McGee.
  • Canevari will also host a weekly radio show on Tuesday's from 7-8 p.m. CT.
  • Veteran announcer Carlos Alvarado, who has been the play-by-play Spanish-voice of the team for each of the first 11 seasons, returns to call every home and away game in the first of a two-year agreement with 1540 AM (KZMP), La Ranchera. Each game will include a 30-minute pre and post game show.
  • Alvarado will also host a weekly show every Tuesday from 7-8 pm CT, covering FC Dallas, Major League Soccer, the United States National Team, the Mexican National Team, Tigres UANL, Atletico Paranaense and other soccer related news and updates from around the globe. The first show will air on April 3.
  • For the first-time ever, all 30 regular season games will be aired on television.
  • Brad Sham and Dave Dir return as the television tandem.
  • 20 of the 30 games will be televised nationally:
    • Univision / Telefutura / Galavision = 7
    • ESPN2 = 6
    • Fox Soccer Channel = 5
    • HDNet = 2
  • Fox SportsNet Southwest will air six games, and KFWD-52 will two additional games.
  • All 15 road games will air locally on cable or satellite.
  • Four home games will air on the MLS DirectKick package, with is available to satellite TV providers DIRECTV and DISH Network, along with digital cable provider iN DEMAND Networks. The residential price is just $79 on any of the three platforms, which will include over 100 MLS games.
