Toronto FC trades Paulo Nagamura to Chivas USA

Toronto FC announced Friday that the club has traded midfielder Paulo Nagamura to Chivas USA in exchange for a first round pick in the 2008 MLS SuperDraft. As per club policy financial details were not disclosed.


        Nagamura was picked up by Toronto FC from the Los Angeles Galaxy by way of the 2007 MLS Expansion Draft held in November.</p>


"We're sad to see Nagamura go," said Head Coach Mo Johnston, but he wanted to go, and now he's headed back to Los Angeles."


Nagamura started all four of Toronto FC's home games, playing a total of 354 minutes, recording 4 shots. The midfielder has already accumulated three cautions this season.
