Toronto FC season seats sell out

Thanks to a tremendous response from soccer fans in the city of Toronto, MLS expansion side Toronto FC has sold out of full season tickets, capping season seat sales at 14,000.

Toronto FC will open its first MLS campaign on April 7 at Chivas USA and will open play at 20,000-seat BMO Field on April 28. The club sold out its allotment of season tickets and executive suites in a mere five months.

"We've had phenomenal momentum since launching Toronto FC last May and the response we've got with respect to season seat sales tells us that soccer fans across the GTA are excited about their new team," said Tom Anselmi, executive vice president and chief operating officer of Maple Leaf Sports & Entertainment Ltd, Toronto FC's investor-operator. "We're confident that fans will see some great soccer at affordable prices and our half season ticket packages provide flexibility and variety to satisfy the growing appetite for professional soccer in Toronto."

Those fans who want the chance to get season tickets in future seasons can put their name the club's waiting list, which is accessible at TorontoFC.ca.

While season seats have sold out, there are other ticket options for fans who want to see Toronto FC play. On April 2, the club will launch a Premium Pack that will include games against Houston Dynamo, the New York Red Bulls and the Los Angeles Galaxy; the club will also offer an International Pack that will include all of the international friendlies the team plans to host, as well as five MLS regular season games.
