Toronto FC finishes up in Sunrise on a winning note

Toronto FC wrapped up their final day of work in Sunrise, Florida with a 3-2 victory over Lynn University. That leaves the squad with a record of 5-1-0 after two weeks in the Sunshine State.


It was a break out game for Toronto's Edson Buddle - the striker scored all 3 himself - all of them in the first half. Three goals in 13 minutes for Buddle who joined from New York. Lynn responded in the second half with goals in the 48th and 58th.


Tomer Chencinski played the first half in goal for Toronto, while JP Piques entered in the second half.


It was again, beautiful weather to wrap up their first road trip, 28C and sunshine as the players get set to leave Florida behind and head back to Toronto on Saturday.


Toronto FC resumes training on Tuesday February 27th, and will be back in Florida March 5th. Next leg of camp takes them to Bradenton and the IMG Academy.
