TORONTO FC 2, COLORADO RAPIDS 1

TORONTO FC HEAD COACH MO JOHNSTON

Thoughts on the game:
"I felt in the first half, we opened up as a very good team, we created a bunch of chances -- they didn't go in, but you know what, they're gonna start going in because the amount of chances that he gets (Jeff Cunningham) he's going to start finishing them."

On play of goalkeeper Djekanovic in his first MLS start:
"I felt he handled it well. He thought he could have got to the goal, but ... he recorded his first victory, I'm very happy for him. Again, this was a very good team, second half we battled and we didn't give up too many chances. I felt we could have kept the ball a little bit longer."

TORONTO FC DEFENDER KEVIN GOLDTHWAITE

On his interpretation of the sending off:
"(Nicolas) Hernandez and I were arguing back and forth ... he's coming back at me in Spanish, I'm going back at him in English. And what I say gets picked up by the referee, the referee hears it and therefore I get a straight red for what I said, which you know wasn't the nicest thing to say, but that stuff happens every game."

On how his ankle injury felt:
"The injury felt pretty good. You know, a couple of times I came down on it a little awkward, but I was pleased by the way it held up."

TORONTO FC DEFENDER ANDREW BOYENS

On scoring the goal off a corner:
"You know it's something I worked on, and I've done in the past a little bit at the college level, but to able to score one at this level is great, and I'm hoping I can do it a couple of more times this season."

COLORADO RAPIDS HEAD COACH FERNANDO CLAVIJO

Thoughts on the game:
"We had a very poor first half, we allowed them to control the ball, gain the momentum and they scored two quick goals. Second half was much better thought we had control but you can't allow teams like that playing at home, because of the fans that get them motivated, and we allowed them to do that."

On looking forward to the next game:
"We know it was difficult to play here in Toronto, it's going to be difficult for many teams, but you know, we need to keep on working and learning how to control games which is something we didn't do at the beginning."

COLORADO RAPIDS FORWARD CONOR CASEY

On the game:
"I don't think we played very well. You know, the effort was there, we were working hard, but I don't think we did enough to win the game today."

On the atmosphere:
"The crowd was amazing; I can't say anything against that. A great atmosphere to play in, I think it helped them out a little bit -- but we just didn't do enough in the game to come out here and get a win."
