Tobar and Brauzer take on new roles for United

Washington, D.C. (January 4, 2008) - D.C. United announced today Francisco Tobar has been named Team Administrator and David Brauzer has been promoted to Equipment Manager. Tobar has a long history with the Black-and-Red and begins his new post after five seasons (2003-07) as the club's equipment manager. Brauzer had previously worked with Tobar as the Assistant Equipment Manager.

"Cisco and David have been loyal and tireless workers for our players and coaching staff," said United General Manager Dave Kasper. "They played a huge role in the team's success during the past five years and are very deserving of these promotions."

In 2002, Tobar worked as equipment coordinator for the U.S. Women's National Team before re-joining the Black-and-Red in January 2003. A 1995 graduate of Virginia Tech, Tobar has a degree in Business Management and Sports Management.

Having served as an intern with D.C. United in 2003, Brauzer joined the Black-and-Red full-time in May 2005. In his new role, he will be primarily responsible for ensuring that the team and staff are properly equipped for all occasions. Brauzer graduated from High Point University (NC) in 2004 majoring in Sports Management and Business Administration/Economics.
