TFC games in S.C. go online

Toronto FC announced Thursday that CBCsports.ca will be offering coverage of the upcoming Carolina Challenge Cup beginning March 15 on Daniel Island in South Carolina.


This is the second consecutive year Toronto FC will compete in the tournament that also features MLS clubs New York Red Bulls, and expansion side San Jose Earthquakes along with hosts Charleston Battery.


Nigel Reed, the play by play voice of MLS on CBC will call all the games live from Blackbaud Stadium so TFC fans can follow the action as the team makes their final preseason preparations. The third and final game can be accessed at USLive.com or through the CBCsports.ca website.


The schedule for the tournament is as follows:


Saturday, March 15th vs. San Jose Earthquakes 6:00 PM


Wednesday, March 19th vs. New York Red Bulls 6:00 PM


Saturday, March 22nd vs. Charleston Battery 6:00 PM


Toronto returns home from South Carolina upon the completion of the tournament where they will train for a few days at BMO Field before kicking off the 2008 MLS regular season in Columbus Ohio against the Crew.
