Toronto FC Academy lost 2-0 to Italia Shooters at Lamport Stadium on Friday night. The shooters opened the scoring in the 33rd minute through Murphy Wiredo, and doubled the lead eight minutes after half time through Matthew Palleschi. TFC Academy could have been three down midway through the second half, but the Shooters missed a penalty. Italia Shooters finished the game with ten men when Luca Zucal was sent off in stoppage time at the end of the game.
Toronto FC Academy (2-2-0) now have six points from the first four games and return to action on Sunday afternoon, June 1st, against Brampton Lions at Victoria Park. Kick off 2:30 p.m.
