The New York Red Bulls are recruiting the NY/NJ Metro area's premier freestyle soccer talent for an elite Freestyle Soccer Team, due to hit the streets in March 2007. This team will represent the Red Bulls at special events, tournaments, promotions, and other locations throughout the metro area and beyond, fueling the passion for the world's favorite game.
In order to make the cut for this elite squad, candidates will be required to go head-to-head against their fellow freestylers at the ultimate freestyle soccer event, Red Bull Fútbol de Calle. This unique battle begins with preliminary tryouts in Manhattan, Queens and New Jersey in January 2007. Candidates who are successful at the prelims will be invited to participate in the final showdown.
The Red Bull Fútbol de Calle Finale will take place at a premier NYC location in February 2007. In front of a panel of esteemed judges, as well as an audience of up to 1,000 soccer fans, candidates will be challenged to show the Red Bulls what they've got, and the Maestro - the King of all Freestylers - will be crowned. From this elite group, the Red Bulls Freestyle Team will be chosen.
