Stammler featured in Maxim Magazine

Seth Stammler (L) sends his soccer advice to a Manhattan team heading to the playoffs.

SECAUCUS, N.J. - New York Red Bulls midfielder/defender Seth Stammler is featured in the November 2006 issue of Maxim magazine. The issue showcases Sophia Bush, Danneel Harris and Hilarie Burton- stars of CW's hit show One Tree Hill- on the cover.

Stammler, a third year player out of the University of Maryland, participates in a segment called "The Fixer." The segment responds to e-mails from readers who are in need of assistance, sending a professional to help them solve their respective problems. As "The Fixer," Stammler helps out a Manhattan soccer team as they attempt to qualify for their league's playoffs in the last game of the season.

Along with physically helping the team during their game, Stammler provides some soccer pointers and discusses the importance of stretching, practicing with both feet, keeping the game simple and controlling the ball.

This is the third time in the last 14 months that Stammler has appeared in a major magazine. In September 2006, Stammler modeled camouflage fashion inspired by Robert DeNiro's character in the movie Taxi Driver for Vanity Fair magazine. And, in the September '05 issue of Vogue magazine, he was featured in an 18-page photo shoot with Brazilian supermodel Gisele Bundchen.

Stammler saw action in 29 regular season games for the Red Bulls this season, starting 27 of them, while tallying three goals. His five assists tied with midfielder Amado Guevara for the team lead. Stammler was recently named the team's co-Unsung Player of the Year, sharing the honor with defender Jeff Parke.
