Serie A shocker as Napoli top Juve

Napoli defender Maurizio Domizzi is ecstatic after scoring to help his club upset title hopeful Juventus.

ROME - Two controversial penalty decisions helped Napoli to a shock 3-1 win over title contenders Juventus at the Stadio San Paolo on Saturday night.

In a thrilling contest, Juventus took the lead less than a minute into the second half through Alessandro Del Piero, but Napoli reacted quickly and Walter Gargano brought them level within three minutes.

The first penalty was awarded to Napoli on the hour mark and Maurizio Domizzi sent Gianluigi Buffon the wrong way from the spot.

Domizzi then repeated the trick from the spot in the 70th minute to secure all three points for Napoli.

The result leaves second-placed Juventus three points adrift of leaders Internazionale, while Napoli climb to fifth after their fourth win in nine games.

In the day's only other game, battling Torino scored twice in the second half to beat Cagliari 2-0 for their second win of the campaign.

Walter Novellino's men created plenty of chances in the first half and twice hit the woodwork but failed to break the deadlock.

In the second half, they were rewarded for their attacking play when Alessandro Rosina scored from close range.

An own goal by defender Michele Ferri then doubled Torino's advantage, leaving Cagliari in danger of slipping into the relegation zone after Sunday's matches.
