Sealy called to Trinidad & Tobago national team

KANSAS CITY, Mo. - Kansas City Wizards forward Scott Sealy has been selected to play for the Trinidad & Tobago National Team in an international friendly against Austria next week in Vienna on November 15th.


Sealy is making his return for the Soca Warriors for the first time since helping them qualify for this past summer's FIFA World Cup in Germany, T & T's first ever. "It is always a pleasure to wear the colors of your country," said Sealy. "After the success of qualifying and playing in the World Cup we are definitely moving in the right direction and I am glad to be a part of that."


Next Wednesday's match at Ernst Happel Stadium in Vienna is scheduled to kickoff at 1:30 p.m. CST time.


Scheduled to arrive in Austria on Monday, November 13th, Sealy has 17 full international caps (appearances) with Trinidad & Tobago's National Team. This past season he was the recipient the Wizards' Golden Boot after leading the team with 10 goals in his second MLS season. "I definitely think that how I played at the end of this past season had a lot to do with me being selected to the team for this match."
