RSL to Host Defending Champion Houston Dynamo Saturday at Rice-Eccles

Real Salt Lake (1-9-6, 9 pts.) will continue its three-game homestand at Rice-Eccles Stadium this Saturday, August 4, when the squad welcomes defending MLS Cup champion and Western Conference leader Houston Dynamo (10-5-4, 34 pts.) to the Wasatch Front for the first of three meetings between the two foes this season. Kick-off from Rice-Eccles is set for 7:00 p.m. MT, and fans can follow the action live via RSL's official radio partners - KALL-AM 700 "The Zone" (English) and "La Bonita" KXTA-AM 1600 (Spanish) - and through the MLS Direct Kick pay-per-view package. Gates to Rice-Eccles Stadium and the popular "Real Carnival" pre-game festival will open Saturday at 6:00 p.m. Tickets are available now by visiting www RealSaltLake.com or by calling 801-924-8585.

The two squads did not meet during the first half of the 2007 campaign but will get well-acquainted over the last three months, with RSL set to visit Houston on Sept. 8 before the two sides close their season series in Salt Lake City on Oct. 15. Real Salt Lake went 1-2-1 against the Dynamo in last year's four contests, but registered a 1-0-1 mark in games at Rice-Eccles, as RSL posted a 3-1 victory on Aug. 19 and fought to a 1-1 draw on Oct. 7.

RSL Reserves Head North to Meet PDL's Ogden Outlaws on Tuesday
Real Salt Lake and the Ogden Outlaws have rescheduled the previously postponed exhibition match between the RSL Reserves and the Outlaws, with the contest now set to take place tomorrow, Tuesday, July 31. The match will be played at St. Joseph's High School in Ogden (1790 Lake Street) and is slated for a 6:00 p.m. MT kick-off. Tickets for the exhibition cost $5.00 and will be available only on the day of the contest at St. Joseph's. Due to the limited seating capacity at the St. Joseph's soccer field, fans will be allowed to bring chairs and blankets into the venue for the contest. The RSL Reserves are coming off their first win of the 2007 MLS Reserve Division season, a 3-2 triumph over New England on Sunday, while the Outlaws recently completed their 2007 PDL (USL Premier Development League) campaign with a 6-7-3 record in Northwest Division play.

RSL Reserves Get First Win of 2007 over New England, Host Houston on Sunday The Real Salt Lake Reserves (1-3-0) earned their first win of the season on Sunday morning via a 3-2 victory over the New England Revolution Reserves (5-2-0) at the Quinn's Junction complex in Park City, Utah. After falling behind in the 28th minute to a goal from New England FW Adam Cristman, RSL scored three unanswered goals in the second half before surrendering a stoppage time goal that proved too little, too late for the visiting Revolution. Real Salt Lake MF Jamie Watson would tally twice for RSL, with his chip-shot goal in the 79th minute eventually standing as the game-winner. The RSL Reserves will use Tuesday's exhibition against the Ogden Outlaws as a tune-up for the middle game of its three-game MLS Reserve Division homestand this Sunday, August 5, when RSL will welcome the Houston Dynamo Reserves to Quinn's Junction for a 10:00 a.m. MT kick-off.
