BARCELONA - Barcelona playmaker Ronaldinho has been given the green light to return to squad training next week.

Ronaldinho has been sidelined for a month with tendinitis in his left knee, with his last appearance for Barca coming in the home league defeat to Real Madrid on December 23.

However, the Brazil international could soon be back in action with Thursday's club medical bulletin declaring that the tendinitis had gone and that he will be able to rejoin his team-mates next week.

"He is completing the final phase of his recuperation. The discomfort in the tendon in the left knee has disappeared and, therefore, at the start of next week he will be medically discharged," the bulletin read.

That means Ronaldinho could be involved in the midweek second leg of Barca's Copa del Rey quarter-final against Villarreal, of which the first leg takes place this evening.
