Robinho cleared for WCQ vs. Ecuador

Robinho's ankle has healed quickly enough to allow him to suit up for Brazil on Wednesday.

RIO DE JANEIRO - Brazil coach Dunga has been boosted by the news that Robinho will be fit for Wednesday's World Cup qualifier against Ecuador.

The Real Madrid forward twisted his left ankle during Sunday's goalless draw with Colombia in Bogota and doctor Jose Luiz Runco confirmed he is ready to play his second game in four days.

"Robinho has fully recovered from the ankle twist and can play," said Runco.

Dunga expressed his delight at the news, adding that he expects Robinho to play better than he did on Sunday, when Brazil found it very difficult to break down a stubborn Colombian outfit.

"I believe Robinho will improve his performance in the next match, especially because of the extraordinary job done by our medical staff to get him fit in just three days," Dunga said.
