Revolution's MLS Cup Playoffs home date set

The New England Revolution today announced that it will host an MLS Cup Playoff game at Gillette Stadium at 7:30 p.m. on Saturday, Nov. 3.


The Revolution will play Game Two of its Eastern Conference Semifinal Series at Gillette Stadium to wrap up the two-game, aggregate-goal semifinal series. Game One of the semifinal series will be played at the home field of the Revs' opponent, which is still to be determined, the week of Oct. 25-27.


Tickets for the Revs' home playoff match start at $18 each and will go on sale at 10 a.m. on Saturday, Oct. 13, through Ticketmaster (1-617-931-2222),


The Revolution is also offering a special "Playoff Ticket 4-Pack," which starts at $72 and includes four tickets to the match and four Revolution winter hats. The "Playoff Ticket 4-Packs" can be purchased by calling the Revolution at 1-877-GET-REVS.


The Revs have advanced to the MLS Cup Playoffs for the eighth time in team history and for the sixth straight season, Boston's longest current playoff run by one of its professional teams. The Revolution has advanced to an MLS-record five straight Eastern Conference Championships and has played in three of the last five MLS Cups.


The Revolution (14-7-7, 49 pts.) is currently second in the Eastern Conference and closes out its 2007 home schedule on Saturday, Oct. 13, when the team hosts the Columbus Crew at Gillette Stadium at 7:30 p.m. Saturday's game is "Fan Appreciation Night," where the team's fans will be recognized for their outstanding support through a variety of giveaways. Also, prior to kickoff, the 2007 Revolution team awards and the U.S. Open Cup will be presented in a pregame ceremony.
