The Chivas USA Reserves fell 3-5 to the FC Dallas Reserves on Sunday May 27 at the Home Depot Center. David Wagenfuhr of the visiting team scored the first goal of the game in the 4th minute, but Chivas USA's Matt Taylor quickly countered with a point of his own. Laurent Merlin solidified Chivas' lead in the 24th minute, but less than 10 minutes later Dallas responded with an onslaught of goals. Scott Jones, David Wagenfuhr, and Dominic Oduro each fired a ball in the back of the Chivas net to gain a 4-2 lead. Anthony Hamilton tried to bring Chivas back in the game with a goal in the 75th minute, but Dominic Oduro closed the door 5 minutes later.
