Reserves: DC 0, FCD 0

The FC Dallas Reserves and the D.C. United Reserves played to a scoreless draw on Sunday morning on the adidas Field at Pizza Hut Park. The goalkeepers from both teams came up big on both sides of the half, with each denying their opponent a handful of one-on-one scoring opportunities. FCD now stands at 2-4-3 (9 pts) while DC's Reserves move to 3-1-3 (12 pts).

United created the better scoring opportunities throughout the first half, but FCD keeper Ray Burse came up with big saves and good positioning to keep the score even.

In the 30th minute, United's Mira Mupier entered the box alone, drawing Burse out of his goal line before firing a shot that went high from ten yards out. Mupier again close five minutes later, taking a pass from Rod Dyachenko on the right side and ripping a shot to the near post past Burse, narrowly missing by hitting the side of the net.

Five minutes before the break, D.C.'s Guy-Roland Kpene worked a give and go with Justin Moose in the Dallas end. However, as Moose entered the area, Burse again came off his line, saving Moose's shot with his chest.

FCD had their best chance of the half denied by the woodwork in the 42nd minute. Bobby Rhine sent a through ball down the center to Abe Thompson, who held a man off with his left shoulder as he entered the area. United keeper Jay Nolly came out to cut the angle, but Thompson's low shot to the left side got by Nolly, only to bounce off the left post.

Nolly came up with his own save off a one-on-one, denying Anthony Wallace from close range in the 70th minute.

Mupier had another close chance in the 79th minute, running onto to a well placed ball at the top of the box. However FCD backup keeper Matt Wideman met Mupier at the arc, where the two collided with the ball being kept out of the goal.

With five minutes to go, D.C.'s Aaron Chandler worked hard down the right side, getting past four FCD players before opening up Dyachenko in the box. However, once again Wideman came out, blocking Dyechenko's shot from 15 yards out to keep the scoreless draw.
