Reserves: Crew 3, Revolution 1

The Columbus Crew Reserves got two goals from Ryan Coiner and one from Knox Cameron to down the New England Revolution Reserves 3-1 on Sunday at The Crew's training facility in Obetz.


The Crew Reserves improved to 2-6-0 on the year after winning its second match in a row after starting out the year 0-6-0. The New England Reserves fell to 0-6-4.


Almost identical to Saturday night's game vs. the Revolution, The Crew scored early, as Coiner gave Columbus a 1-0 lead in the 2nd minute. Marc Burch assisted on Coiner's goal.


Cameron then put the Black & Gold up 2-0 in the 31st minute, with Burch and Ivan Becerra assisting on the goal. Coiner added his second of the game in the 51st minute on a pass from Ritchie Kotschau.


New England got on the board in the 86th minute as Avery John drew a penalty kick. Khano Smith buried the PK.
