French striker Laurent Merlin scored in the 21st minute, assisted by Matt Taylor, while defender earned the game-winner Bobby Burling in the 62nd, heading home a pass from Rodrigo López. Earlier, Real Salt Lake had opened scoring 17th minute with a goal by Chris Brown, assisted by Duke Hashimoto.
