MILAN - Kaka is on the verge of signing a contract extension at AC Milan that will keep him with the club through the 2011-12 campaign.
Gazzetta dello Sport reported on Saturday morning the 25-year-old Brazilian forward has agreed terms on a deal that will make him the world's richest footballer at 9million euros (£6.4million) per season.
The deal will be clinched, the Milan-based paper says, after he receives the Ballon d'Or award on December 2.
Kaka fired the Rossoneri to the Champions League crown last year with a tournament-leading 10 goals.
In nine Serie A games this season, Kaka has scored seven times while in the Champions League, he has scored twice in four matches.
