Red Bulls training grounds to be constructed in Hanover, N.J.

SECAUCUS, NJ - Red Bull New York announced today that they will construct a permanent training facility in Hanover, NJ that will be the new home of the entire RBNY organization. The Red Bulls Training Grounds will include six soccer fields, a 50,000 square foot, two-story office building and a one-story field house. Construction is expected to begin this fall with an anticipated completion date of December 2008.

"Our state-of-the-art facility in Hanover, NJ will finally give the Red Bulls a place we can call home," said Managing Director of Red Bull New York Marc de Grandpre. "We are deeply committed to seeing this team and this sport be successful in the tri-state area and this facility is a huge piece of that puzzle. On behalf of the entire Red Bull New York organization, I would like to thank Mayor Francioli, the township of Hanover, Hartz Mountain and Senate President Codey for welcoming us so graciously. We look forward to joining and becoming active members of the Hanover community. With this facility, we can provide meaningful opportunities for youths all across the region."

"All of us in Hanover Township are excited that the Red Bull soccer organization has selected Hanover to be its home. The club will become one of our premier neighbors," said Ronald Francioli, Mayor of the Township of Hanover. "The site selected, Hartz Mountain property, will be transformed into a high tech training facility for not only the team, but will offer physical and character building programs for our area's youngsters. We welcome the Red Bulls with open arms."

"The Red Bulls have solidified their commitment to making New Jersey the centerpiece for sports entertainment. We have so many new exciting facilities on the horizon-the new Hanover training facility, an extraordinary soccer stadium in Harrison, a new Giants' and Jets' stadium, a new Jets' training facility, and a new arena for the Devils- that combine for a world class sports experience right here in New Jersey" said Senate President Richard J. Codey (D-Essex).

Located in Hanover Township off Melanie Lane, the centerpiece of the complex will be a two-story 50,000 square foot Training Center which will house the sporting and business sides of the RBNY organization. On the first floor of the Training Center will be the amenities for the Red Bulls First Team and Academy Teams, including multiple locker rooms, player's lounge, weight room, and trainer's room. The second floor will be the front office's headquarters.

"Hartz Mountain has been an enthusiastic partner with the town of Hanover for 20 years in creating a world-class development - and now the last parcel of our Hanover site will be home to our most exciting use," said Emanuel Stern, President and COO of Hartz Mountain Industries. "It is particularly rewarding to see that what we found so promising and appealing about Hanover has appealed to a wide variety of businesses who have made it their homes."

Of the six soccer fields, five will be outdoors while one will be covered by a Tension Fabric Frame Structure which can be used during periods of inclement weather or at night. Four of the fields will be equipped with lights for evening and night activities. The fields will be a mix of natural and synthetic surfaces.

A one-story, 3,700 square foot Field House will be equipped with locker rooms and restrooms to support events on the fields located farthest away from the main Training Center.

"Having the proper infrastructure around a team is vital in turning a club and an organization into a winner," said Red Bulls Sporting Director and Head Coach Bruce Arena. "This team has never had a permanent home in its existence. Our facility in Hanover will provide us with a first-class venue that will house this team for years to come."
