The New York Red Bulls RDS are delighted to offer a new and improved Goalkeeper curriculum, offering high level keepers training on the position specific aspects of their game, such as footwork, handling, shot-stopping, and distribution. This fall, GK curriculums will be offered at Staten Island, NY, Ramapo, NY, Manalapan, NJ, and Allentown, PA.
Featuring a highly exclusive 1:6 coaching ratio, the RDS provides goalkeepers with the optimum individual attention needed to fine tune their game, and take their ability to the next level. All players receive a comprehensive electronic evaluation which is specific to the goalkeeper learning outcomes.
Like the outfield program, the highest level goalkeepers from within the RDS will be selected to represent the Red Bulls in showcase tournaments across the area. Those who truly excel will earn the opportunity to try out for the Academy Team, and begin their journey towards a career as a professional player. Due to the recent growth in the program, the RDS has graduated three goalkeepers to the Red Bull U14 and U15 teams in recent seasons, and the curriculum is now a proven link to the area's most competitive soccer pathway.
Just like the outfield curriculum, RDS goalkeeper programs are reserved for competitive and elite boys and girls, looking to receive advanced individual instruction on some of the more complex aspects of individual technique.
