Red Bulls donate computers to Harrison school

Red Bulls defenders Hugh MacDonald and Tim Regan were on hand on Thursday at Lincoln Elementary in Harrison, N.J., for a computer donation to the school on behalf of Red Bull New York.


The players spoke in front of an assembly which included the superintendent of schools and the school's principal, as well as a room full of excited third graders. Regan and MacDonald, who is from nearby Kearny, N.J., talked to the kids about the value of education and its importance in helping them become professional soccer players.


"The visit was great. It was pretty cool to meet the kids and see that they were excited that we were there," MacDonald said.


The Red Bulls donated five desktop computers, which the school will add to its computer lab for use 850+ students.


The appearance of the players sparked excitement among the students, many of whom are eagerly anticipating the construction of Red Bull Park in Harrison, set to be completed during next season.
