Red Bulls to co-host clinic Thursday

Red Bull New York, the Department of Juvenile Justice (DJJ) and Telemundo 47 will be hosting a clinic for over 100 juvenile residents at the Horizon Juvenile Center (560 Brook Ave., Bronx, NY) tomorrow at 2:30 PM.


The clinic will feature some of the most recognizable faces of American soccer including former U.S. Men's National Team captain Claudio Reyna, 17-year-old forward Jozy Altidore and Red Bulls assistant coach and former U.S. MNT standout John Harkes. Along with Red Bulls Assistant Equipment Manager Fernando Ruiz, the group will instruct the residents on the sport of soccer, leading a number of drills, games and lessons. Renowned television reporter Veronica Contreras of Telemundo 47 will be conducting a clinic for female residents. In addition, there will be a performance from the Red Bulls Street Team.

-Take FDR Drive North
-Take Exit 18 to merge onto Willis Ave Bridge Toward I-87/Deegan Expy
-Continue on Willis Ave. before making slight right at 3rd Ave.
-Turn right at Westchester Ave.
-Turn right at Brook Ave.


From Queens/Long Island:
-From Grand Central Parkway West, take Triboro Bridge from Queens and merge onto I-278-E
-Take exit 47 for Major Deegan Expy/I-87 N
-Take exit 2 towards Willis Ave/3rd Ave Bridge and turn right at Willis Ave.
-Slight right at 3rd Ave. before turning right at Westchester Ave.
-Turn right at Brook Ave.


From New Jersey:
-Take George Washington Bridge towards the Bronx and stay on Cross Bronx Expy.
-Take exit 4A onto I-895 S/Sheridan Expy toward Triboro Bridge.
-Take exit toward Westchester Ave/Hunts Points Market and merge onto Whitlock Ave.
-Slight right at Westchester Ave before turning left at Brook Ave.
