The Red Bulls U-16 team took home the Metro League crown for the second consecutive year following a 5-1 victory over Kearny Thistle on Wednesday.
The U-16s gave an impressive performance in this mid-week clash, scoring early and often throughout the contest. Giorgi Chirgadze opened the scoring in the sixth minute - his first of three goals on the day - off an Eric Jorgensen pass.
Jorgensen had a memorable day himself, providing four assists to go with a goal of his own, and Hennie Bosman capped off the night by lobbing the goalie from 25 yards out off an Akil Howard pass.
Head Coach Stan Lembryk said, "The players looked sharp in preparation for the NJ State Cup quarterfinals this Sunday [May 6]."
