Real Salt Lake teams up with Sam's Club for grand opening of new store

SALT LAKE CITY - Real Salt Lake is pleased to announce that SAM'S CLUB, a wholesale retail operation with stores all across the country, has invited RSL to be a part of the grand opening of the newest Utah SAM'S CLUB. The store, which is located at 1905 South and 300 West, is set to open it's doors on Thursday, November 2nd, with the official ribbon cutting ceremony taking place at 9:45 AM.

Leo the Lion, the official mascot of Real Salt Lake, will be on hand to assist in the ribbon cutting ceremony. RSL will have an informational booth set-up from 2:00pm to 7:00pm where visiting patrons can take advantage of the "early renewal period", which allows fans to lock in their 2007 season tickets at 2006 prices. The early renewal period ends November 10th, after which season tickets will see a modest price increase. RSL will also be handing out free giveaways throughout the day.

RSL players Kenny Cutler, Chris Brown, Jamie Watson, and Christian Jimenez will also be making appearances at the event. Cutler and Brown will be on hand to sign autographs at the RSL booth from 4:00-5:30pm while Watson and Jimenez will be available to meet the public from 5:30-7:00pm.

This event marks the continuation of the partnership between SAM'S CLUB and Real Salt Lake, as SAM'S CLUB has offered invaluable corporate sponsorship support to RSL throughout the 2006 season. Highlighting SAM'S CLUB involvement with RSL this year was the SAM'S CLUB "Dream Team", where SAM'S CLUB made it possible for 22 kids from in and around Salt Lake County to accompany Real Madrid and RSL players onto the field for the historic" Xango Cup", which was played at Rice-Eccles Stadium on August 12th in front of a sold out crowd of 45,511 fans.
