COLORADO RAPIDS HEAD COACH FERNANDO CLAVIJO
On the game:
"The team played extremely well, we dominated. I think we created the chances, we didn't finish all of them, but I think it was an outstanding effort by everyone."
On his players:
"I was impressed with Jacob Peterson. Nick LaBrocca, for me, he was a steal in the draft. He's an outstanding young player with great vision. But it would be unfair to only name one or two players; I think the team in general played well. The transition in the midfield was crystal clear, moving the ball side to side, and you can attribute that to Jose Cancela. (Daniel) Wasson did a tremendous job defensively, allowing Cancela to run free. It was an outstanding effort by everybody. Like I said to the guys, I don't have a reserve or first team; I have a 28-player roster, and today I gave them an opportunity to prove they belong out there."

On the game:
"We have to continue to put the focus on improving in all areas of the field. With another game on Sunday, and we just played this past Sunday, the concern of keeping guys fresh is in the back of the mind. There are a couple of guys that I would've liked to give the game off, but I don't have a lot of choices right now."
