CARSON, Calif. - Rangers FC has announced the 16-man squad that they will use to take on the Los Angeles Galaxy at The Home Depot Center. The Galaxy will host Rangers in a friendly at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday, May 23. Rangers, who are led by manager Walter Smith, finish the 2006-07 Scottish Premier League season on Sunday afternoon with a match away to Aberdeen and will fly to Los Angeles the next day. No matter how the club fares on Sunday, Rangers will finish second in the Scottish Premier League this season and have earned one of the league's two berths into the UEFA Champions League.


Smith, who has lost just once in the league after being named Rangers manager in January, will bring his full arsenal of talent with him for the Glasgow-based club's first-ever visit to The Home Depot Center. Rangers, which has won a record 51 Scottish league titles, is led by midfielder Barry Ferguson. The Rangers captain and 1999-2000 Scotland Player of the Year, Ferguson is an ever-present force in central midfield for both his club and the Scottish National Team. He is joined by Kris Boyd, the Scottish Premier League's top scorer this season with 20 goals heading into the final weekend, Charlie Adam, Chris Burke, Ian Murray and a host of Scotland's brightest stars.
