On Saturday, October 14, before the New York Red Bulls' match against the Kansas City Wizards, RagingBullNation (RBN) hosted a special group of children and their families from The Learning Center for Exceptional Children (LCEC). The LCEC provides special education to children ages 6 - 21 in the Clifton, NJ area. They were the special guests of RBN for its "Roadside Roundup" in its traditional location, Lot 15B.
In addition, RBN raffled off an authentic 2006 Red Bull New York home jersey autographed by the entire team. Some of the Red Bull Girls stopped by to help with the raffle, which raised $300! Proceeds raised by this raffle will be donated to the Starlight Children's Foundation of NY/NJ/CT, whose Mission is to brighten the lives of seriously ill children and their families through imaginative and resourceful programs and services that empower, educate, and inspire.
After the Roadside Roundup, the RBN "Nationals" (members) marched to Section 101 and joined the Empire Supporters Club for a pre-match "chat," at the request of Coach Bruce Arena. Coach Arena offered his sincere thanks to the supporters in both groups for their devotion in the past and present; and promised that the Red Bull team of the future would be one envied by all in Major League Soccer. Afterward, the Nationals weaved their way through the lower bowl of Giants Stadium with banners and drums to "The Corral" (Section 115) to join their guests from LCEC. From there, RBN, their guests, and some passers-by cheered and drummed for 90+ minutes as our beloved Red Bulls clinched their spot in the playoffs.
