TORONTO FC 3, COLORADO RAPIDS 1

TORONTO FC HEAD COACH JOHN CARVER

On the final score:

"What frustrates me is you get into a lead of 3-nil and against good sides they punish you. I've seen sides come back from that before, and we got complacent, we got sloppy, we got lazy and I told them that. I'm not happy with that because I wanted to keep a clean sheet and win the game 3-nil. We've got to be professional enough to drive it home when you take a lead, a decent commanding lead of 3-nil -- and punish the opposition as much as you can. I'm not a happy coach because we've conceded a goal."

On Rohan Ricketts:

"Well, I'm delighted for him because ... the longer it goes on, the more frustrated he gets at not getting goals, and he got two great goals today which I'm pleased about. But I spoke about this through the week -- when he first arrived he was playing on adrenaline and he did quite well for two or three games, then he took a dip and he takes a dip because he's not had a preseason, so his fitness is not the same level as the rest of the group. I stayed with him, I was patient with him ... and he's not started to come back and pop his head above the water now. Today I thought his performance was the best he's had since he's been here."

TORONTO FC MIDFIELDER ROHAN RICKETTS

On his goal:

"Oh man, best day of my life so far ... I never saw it coming and I've been dying to score, I've been close a few times but fortunately today it went in. It's a credit to the boys, Brian Edwards, his big kick set me up, and then the second one was just my individual skill -- brilliance (laughs). I was grateful to be in the position to score -- it's a nice day for me I'm just going to enjoy the day."

On scoring at home:

"I love the home fans, man, I love the fans. They've supported me a lot since I've been here both on and off the pitch and today was a good day to give them back something and hopefully I can score a few more."

TORONTO FC DEFENDER TODD DUNIVANT

On how the team did with some many regulars away:

"It's another good sign for us. We've had some players missing lately, it happened against the Galaxy as well you know and we stepped up a lot of guys that haven't played at that point and stepped in and did a great job and no different tonight. It shows the depth of this team and that was a big concern for us in the offseason, and you can see we've addressed that."

COLORADO RAPIDS COACH FERNANDO CLAVIJO

On the game:

"You know what, very complicated game. We knew coming here to Toronto it was going to be a physical game, we knew there was going to be a lot of emotions coming from the fans. I thought that the first 10, 15 minutes we played extremely well, but when you miss your chances in a situation that you are in Toronto, you're going to pay the price. We made some tactical changes in the second half -- one-on-one with the goalkeeper again, it could have changed the game and when you miss the chances you pay the price."

On taking any positives from the game:

"Very positive. We have nine players that started today from our reserve team, that's very positive. Again, you can see we're missing crucial players in key positions, and we're not there yet with some of the younger players."

COLORADO RAPIDS FORWARD CONOR CASEY

On the game:

"I think it was a little by then (when he came on in second half) I mean we put in a decent first half but just kind of fell apart in the second half the guys took advantage of it, they used their chances well, a 3-0 deficit is pretty hard to come from."

COLORADO RAPIDS DEFENDER STEPHEN KEEL

On the game:

"I mean obviously Danny has a lot of experience same with Jeff up front, definitely a handful. You got kind of a one-two punch with Dichio being able to hold it and flick balls up front and Jeff is obviously pacey. We weren't good enough with giving away three goals -- the back four, you know, you can't give three goals away and expect to get any points out of it."

COLORADO DEFENDER CESAR ZAMBRANO

On his MLS debut:

"It was good, especially here in Toronto -- the atmosphere. Wish it would have been better and we would have come up with the win."
