Quotes: RSL 1, COL 0

REAL SALT LAKE 1, COLORADO RAPIDS 0

COLORADO RAPIDS HEAD COACH FERNANDO CLAVIJO

On scoring goals:
"We had a lot of chances but when you don't finish, it's kind of difficult to win. Colin (Clark) is very young, he is a kid that wasn't playing two years ago and he came out and played extremely well. It's easy to point fingers right away but we had chances and we weren't able to score goals. We were the second worst team at scoring goals. Defensively we have done well. One mistake, one counter attack and they finish it. Give them credit." On the game:
"I'm disappointed, I'm responsible for this team and we didn't get the result. They scored a goal when we needed to push and they scored a goal when we needed three points. They capitalized when we were pushing the most and you have to give them credit for that. Omar (Cummings) gave us something different and we were a team looking for a result but tonight we came out on the short end of the stick. It's tough when you have a team sitting, waiting for you. They know you're going to open up and send players forward. It was a matter of time until they were going to create chances. 0-0 is the same as 1-0. We didn't come here to tie the game. We didn't get into the playoffs because of today's defeat."

COLORADO RAPIDS MIDFIELDER JOVAN KIROVSKI

On the game:
"The difference in tonight's game was that they finished once and we didn't. You can create all the chances in the world but if you don't put the ball in the back of the net you can't win. We had problems scoring all year. It was our nemesis all season and today."

COLORADO RAPIDS MIDFIELDER KOSUKE KIMURA

On the game:
"We didn't finish. We had a couple good chances, but we just couldn't finish. We played well in the first half, we had many chances but couldn't finish and when that happens, it's hard to play defense. In the last five minutes we were trying to send it in and get some chances. Unfortunately we couldn't score; we just needed to finish our chances."

COLORADO RAPIDS DEFENDER PABLO MASTROENI

On the game:
"We had a good opportunity 30 minutes in with an open net and we didn't. You only get so many chances and when you don't take advantage of it, it will cost you. I think we fought hard; it could have gone either way. This was a case of two teams that wanted to win the game, but at the end of the day they caught us upfield." On not making the playoffs:
"We threw caution to the wind and got beat but that's soccer, it's nothing to hang your head on it just makes you ask yourself what you have to do to make this team succeed. I always thought I had a long time to win a championship, but here I am 10 years later and I still haven't won one. Careers go by fast. You have to take the moment while it's there and tonight it was there and it slipped by. It's been an up-and-down year but it's been great playing with guys who are committed to winning but unfortunately this year we came up a little short."

REAL SALT LAKE HEAD COACH JASON KREIS

On the game:
"It feels particularly good because we put a lot of focus and tension into this game. It's one of those instances where you get everybody to focus on one goal and to go out there and complete it feels very good. We wanted to go into the offseason having won something. I think this leaves a good feeling with the guys and helps us move forward. (Findley) did exactly what we told him to do. I told him he was going to get maybe one good chance to score, and he did."

REAL SALT LAKE GOALKEEPER NICK RIMANDO

On the game:
"Fifteen saves tonight, but I always say that everyone helps out. Everyone came back and supported us; it was a whole team effort. We wanted to play for something; we knew we could knock them out of the playoffs. It just feels good; it's a lot of weight off our shoulders."

REAL SALT LAKE DEFENDER EDDIE POPE

On the game:
"We definitely wanted to give 100 percent, and it paid off in the end. I couldn't go out a better way, to win that trophy. It's a good feeling, everyone worked hard all season long to battle this team and to go out and win like that is awesome. We felt like they were knocking on our door and we got a chance and capitalized on it. Findley has been deadly all season long."
