LOS ANGELES GALAXY HEAD COACH FRANK YALLOP
On the win:
"Three points is very important at this point, I was happy with the win, we could have scored more goals, but I'm really happy that we were able to get three points at a crucial time."
On FC Dallas:
"I looked at Dallas; I thought 'I know how they feel'. Thursday-Sunday [stinks]. It really does, and in the end they tried hard. They're a good attacking side and they looked tired."
On the red card:
"Ten men, in the end, made it much easier for us. But I thought we had a good chat at halftime. We were very tentative for 20 minutes once we got the red card; our passing was boring, it wasn't very positive, it was nervous. I told them at halftime 'you won't get a better chance to get three points, in a game, at home, against 10 men, and they are tired. So, this is it, let's go.' I felt the second half we had a couple of scares, you know they are dangerous players, so they are going to have scares. If we at least look like we have worked and want it, we look positive with our passes, we tried to do the right thing."
On the team:
"We had young kids out there; Josh Tudela had a good game I thought. We had some good individual performances but most importantly, I thought it was collectively a good performance. I thought the team tried very hard and got those three points that obviously are so crucial right now."
LOS ANGELES GALAXY MIDFIELDER CHRIS KLEIN
On the win:
"We thought the game was there for us tonight. We have been playing pretty well lately, and sometimes the result hasn't gone for us. As a group we have been very positive and Frank has been very positive. We are going to try and make the season interesting, we don't know what it's going to look like in the end, but good to get three points and at least move up the standings a little bit."
On his game-winning goal:
"Cobi did a very good job like he always does, to keep the ball still in play, and I was able to settle it down, get a hard strike on goal and put it on frame."
LOS ANGELES GALAXY MIDFIELDER COBI JONES
On the 300-game milestone:
"For myself it is pretty special to be part of the 300 (games played) club and to get 90 assists, I know that there are only a few of us that are there. It shows for myself the perseverance and the dedication I have had over the years and I am glad to be apart of a small, special group."
On his last few games:
"I am definitely savoring it, every single game is a different experience, and it is always a learning experience. I always take a little something away from each game; especially these last few. I'm just trying to enjoy it as much as possible."
On the team's chances of making it into the playoffs:
"I am always one to believe if you have a chance you keep going and striving until it is all said and done. Since we have a chance I am still playing and hoping that we can make it in."
LOS ANGELES GALAXY MIDFIELDER JOSH TUDELA
On playing for LA:
"Just feels great to be out there, feels like it has been a long time and I am just so glad that I am finally playing."
On the rest of the season:
"We definitely have a chance, and we are going to take each game one at a time and hopefully we will win each one here on out."
FC DALLAS MIDFIELDER DAX McCARTY
On their goal:
"Carlos [Ruiz] -- he will draw defenders anyways. I think for me it was more a case of me getting myself in the box. I work on that in training a lot, one of the midfielders has to join in and get in the attack. Chris Gbandi put in a great ball, Carlos made a run to the near post and I kind of shouted at him to let it go, and he let it go and luckily I was lucky enough to be able to put it in the back of the net. So it was obviously a nice play by us and it was something I think we should do more of."
On the loss:
"You know, it is just the way the results are going for us right now, to be honest. And you know maybe we didn't deserve that, and it's kind of us shooting ourselves in the foot right now. We are a team, we are in this together, it's not one person's fault; it is just the way the results are going for us. And we need to figure out a way to start getting some wins under our belt heading into the playoffs. "
FC DALLAS DEFENDER ALEX YI
On the play of key defensive players:
"That is something that we have been focusing on ever since preseason, bringing in Adrian Serioux and giving us a little bit more bite back there. I think Clarence Goodson and Drew Moor have been unbelievable this season. And guys that have stepped in, myself and Pitchkolan, you know whoever is filling in for whoever is injured, have done a good job. But you know, it hasn't been good enough and we are going to be hard on ourselves for the rest of the way through. High expectations for sure."
FC DALLAS MIDFIELDER ARTURO ALVAREZ
On the red card's effect on the game:
"I think we started the game really well; we were coming in with a lot of intensity and we wanted a good result from this game. I don't think our team was really happy with the result we got on Thursday against Chicago, and we wanted to come here and go back to our winning ways. Unfortunately, we got a red card early in the game, and that obviously changes the whole perspective of the game. You kind of have to adapt to what they are going to bring to us since they have one extra player on the field. But I think I give all the credit to the boys, I think we worked hard for the remainder of the game with ten guys, but unfortunately we didn't get a good result and they came out with the victory."
