On the team's performance:
"I think the first half it seemed we didn't settle down very well. We had a good talk at halftime and I felt we were getting back into the game early in the second half but the second goal kind of killed the game off for us."
On injuries and call-ups:
"Missing some players tonight definitely affected us. We had some rookies on the field making their first appearances. These guys have been with us for a bit and they are trying their best, but we need to keep getting better."

On the result:
"I just don't think we worked as hard as needed to. We had a bad first half. We gave up a decent goal. It came out of nothing so to speak. But he had a nice finish on it. In the first half we weren't in the game. "
On his team's efforts:
"We came up at halftime and thought we could get a goal. It was a decent enough game. But they had three great finishes. They've done really well. They had good service in the box. The second goal killed us so to speak. We have to finish our chances."

On the disappointing loss:
"It was a good crowd tonight, but we feel bad that we didn't play better for them. It was probably our worst game collectively as a unit. We just didn't step up."
On going back on the road:
"The hope is that we come together on the road and get some results. We have a ton of away games now. We're not at home for more than a month, so we can't put our heads down."
On the game as a whole:
"We have to take our hats off to them. I think we let them play too much on our side of the park. They were the better team tonight. That's disappointing to say because I think we have a pretty good team."

On the game:
"I think we played well tonight. The team performance was good. We trained all week on certain things and we accomplished them tonight. Because a lot of players that normally don't play were in there tonight, we tried some new schemes for the team and the players that played today did a good job."
On having the top scorers in the league:
"Goals come from the whole team, so it is a credit to everyone to have two scorers like that. The best example of that was in the third goal. Mike Randolph was able to cross a great ball to Edson Buddle."

"We have a lot of quality players on this team and we are capable of playing like this every week. I got some great service tonight and I was able to finish."
On his current form:
"I have been working hard in training and just getting a lot of repetitions in. The balls that I get in training and in the game are on time and if I time my runs well I will have opportunities."
On playing with David Beckham:
"It is a great experience for me. I grew up watching the game and I had posters of him on my wall. Playing with David has been helpful for me and there are definitely stories I will be able to tell when I go back home."

On play in MLS:
"The standard here in the United States is higher than people think it is. Having been here now for a long time, I have played in some tough matches and against some tough opponents. It can only get better."
On his health:
"My ankle is fine now. When you have an injury like I had last year, you are going to feel a bit of stiffness in the ankle, but right now it is all good."
On play of Edson Buddle:
"Edson is a player that is getting better all the time. He is a hard worker. He proved tonight how good he is and he proves it in training every day. He is scoring goals and creating opportunities. He is a handful to play against."
On being a teacher on the team:
"I am at that age now where young players look up to you. They might see me as sort of a teacher. I have had the experience of playing in two of the biggest leagues and for two of the biggest clubs in the world so I can pass that experience on. Hopefully, I can help answer some of the questions they may have."
