On the game:
"We have to win these games at home. We're right there. We're close. We didn't get dominated. We didn't get out played. We were in the game. We had our chances to win the game, but at the end of the day, the final result is we didn't win the game."
On his team's development:
"That is the last step in our development, being able to win big games like this. Win it ugly if we have to. Win it beautiful if need to. Win it by rolling up our sleeves and fighting like mad men. Win it by just playing the other team off the field. Whatever it takes, we have to find a way to win.
"What we need to do to take that next step is we have to be able to find that resolve when the game is going against us. The game is going for us, sometimes you get goals and sometimes you don't get goals. You have to score goals when you are on top, and we didn't do that. The thing is, when the game tips a little bit, and every game is going to tip, no matter who you play, every team is going to have moments where they dominate the game. And that is when we need stand up, step up, and say: I'm in charge here. We need to resolve that on the field."

On the game:
"The second half, we came out and I think we dominated the game. But we didn't score goals and didn't get that lucky bounce. Obviously we are devastated. Another big crowd and it was a great opportunity to get these fans behind us. I feel like we let them down a little bit, and I think that everyone feels that way because they were behind us this game. They showed up and came out for us, and we didn't perform.
"They finished off the two chances that we gave them. That was it. That was the game."

On the game:
"In this time of the year and this state that we are in, it's a fantastic result to come in and beat Columbus, who are fighting for their lives to get a little further up the table. For us to come in and win this game is amazing. I thought that we played great. We deserved to win. It wasn't a fluke."
On the team's playoff chances:
"I wasn't panicking. I have belief in the guys who started. They have belief in themselves, and we don't worry about anything now. So, looking forward to our next game against Houston, which is a tough game, obviously, but we are looking forward to it. We are real proud of the guys with the way that they worked and fought and scrapped -- we have a great chance still."
On defenders Troy Roberts and Ty Harden:
"Those two guys, the last three or so games, have been outstanding. I think that once teams start to play together, no matter who they are, no matter who is in the lineup, if you play together for a while, if you don't keep chopping and changing -- I feel like I can coach guys to do all right once we get guys that are together and can work together for a bit. We've chopped and changed the lineup all season because of injuries, but now that we have a bit of a settled side, it is nice."

On the game:
"It is good to come home and beat your former team, and to do it when it counts, do it when we desperately need three points. I'm just really proud of all my guys today. It was a battle 'til the end, and everyone is tired. Everyone is nicked up. Everyone has strains. Everyone has injuries. But everyone is battling and working together to do whatever it takes to get three points, so I'm proud of everyone."

On the win:
"We needed this, and guys are stepping up and battling. We're doing whatever it takes to get three points at this point. Luckily, we have a week to rest and hopefully get somewhat of our legs back underneath us. This is what we needed to do, and we did it."
